MSG-3 Training Course:

Wayne Pheasey delivered a Maintenance Steering Group - 3 (MSG-3) training course in Dubai, UAE during May 2010. The course was attended by aerospace engineers from Maintenance Repair Organisations (MRO), Fixed Base Operators (FBO) and airworthiness inspectors from the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority.  The course was well-received with positive feedback.

Maritime Maintenance Support:

The potential 'lessons indicated' from the Haddon-Cave Nimrod Review report and the Bernard Gray Procurement Report that may be relevant to the MoD maritime maintenance environment have been extracted and analysed in support of an end-to-end review of RN surface ship and submarine maintenance carried out by Rmada.

BAE SYSTEMS MRA4 Nimrod:

The development flight testing is complete and the Release to Service recommendations are in their final stages of preparation.  A Scoping Study has been conducted on behalf of the BAE Systems MRA4 Project to determine an analytical solution to identify appropriate structural Preventative Maintenance tasks and auditing of RCM analysis including Structurally Significant Item (SSI) analysis is in-progress.

Developing RCM Processes:

Working with Aspîre to establish and document a comprehensive set of processes for conducting, managing and auditing RCM and related technical authoring work.  This task also includes mentoring of personnel new to RCM.

Hawk Aircraft RCM Scoping Study:

Assisted the UK MoDs Training Aircraft Team to identify if a RCM-based solution can alleviate or reduce cost and availability risk resulting from the Hawk Mk1/1A extension in-service.  Any solution must also update Preventive Maintenance schedules to ensure continued safe operation.

RCM Training Course Delivered:
A Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Overview training course was delivered to BAE SYSTEMS Aircraft Design and Logistics Engineers in support of RAF Nimrod and VC10 aircraft.
